Viñedos Sierra Cantabria represents the Eguren family’s most creative and exploratory expression. A project built on absolute respect for the land, where every wine is born from a single vineyard and shaped by a precise interpretation of its identity.
Rather than imposing a house style, the winery exists in service of the vineyard. Built above historic underground limestone cellars, it embodies a contemporary vision deeply rooted in tradition, where origin is explored, interpreted and allowed to evolve without ever losing its essence.
Located in the San Pedro area, the winery is surrounded by the 16-hectare San Pelayo–Las Canteras estate, where each vineyard parcel is cultivated individually.
Here, the vineyard is no longer simply the setting—it becomes the origin. Every decision begins with its identity, giving rise to wines that express the character of the land and the individuality of each parcel with complete fidelity.
Planted in 1960, San Pelayo is a historic vineyard rooted in limestone bedrock that shapes the rhythm and development of the vines.
A living, balanced and profoundly expressive soil that brings tension, depth and character, allowing every wine to be defined by its most fundamental structure.
Here, Tempranillo reveals its purest expression: balanced, precise and deeply connected to the landscape.
Within this unique environment, the variety achieves an elegant sense of restraint, where every grape faithfully conveys the identity of the vineyard without artifice.
