ONE VARIETY,

ONE DESTINY

Founded in 1991, Señorío de San Vicente was conceived as a pioneering project within Rioja. Inspired by Guillermo Eguren’s revival of the indigenous Tempranillo Peludo in the La Canoca vineyard, it challenged convention by focusing on a single grape variety, a single vineyard and a single wine.
A personal and contemporary interpretation of Rioja that has become a benchmark for the region.

THE VINEYARDS

ALTITUDE

AND CHARACTER

The vineyards of Señorío de San Vicente lie at the highest point of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, an area known for its late harvests, allowing the grapes to achieve exceptional quality.

Covering 18 hectares, the estate is devoted primarily to the rare indigenous Tempranillo Peludo, a once nearly forgotten variety chosen for its ability to produce wines of remarkable complexity, vibrant acidity and outstanding ageing potential.

THE SOILS

STRENGTH AND

PRECISION

Clay and stone lie beneath an austere, tranquil landscape, creating a natural foundation that regulates water availability and brings structure, freshness and a distinctive character to every vintage.

This unique combination of soil and climate is fundamental to producing wines that unite innovative character with a timeless sense of style.

THE GRAPE VARIETIES

THE SOUL OF

TEMPRANILLO PELUDO

Tempranillo Peludo, the rare indigenous variety revived by the Eguren family, finds its finest expression here.

Low-yielding vines with a singular personality give rise to wines of complexity, vibrancy and a profound sense of place.
