Sierra Cantabria CVC 150th Anniversary was born from a profound reflection on time, heritage and the remarkable ability of great wines to inspire emotion across generations. Inspired by an historic Rioja from 1925, whose vitality remained intact after more than eighty years, this wine embodies the pursuit of an excellence that endures without ever compromising its authenticity or identity.
The project begins with an old north-facing vineyard, chosen for its natural freshness, balance and extraordinary ageing potential. Through meticulous and patient winemaking, with extended macerations and prolonged ageing in French oak, the wine gradually develops the depth, structure and complexity that define its character.
After more than a decade of ageing, together with a rigorous process of tasting and selection, the 2010, 2011 and 2015 vintages achieve a precise balance of elegance, energy and aromatic expression.
The result is a wine of remarkable personality—refined, persistent and deeply expressive—capturing the essence of the vineyard and a philosophy of winemaking founded on time and authenticity.
